These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Encore and the responsibilities of both our users and the platform.

Project Encore is operated by Filip HEYLEN. These Terms of Service govern your use of Encore and the services provided through the platform.
By creating an account or using Encore, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Community Guidelines, and our Privacy Policy.
You may use Encore only if you are legally able to agree to these Terms or have any consent or authorisation required under the laws that apply to you.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the platform.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping it secure.
You may temporarily deactivate your account through your profile settings. Deactivation signs you out and temporarily prevents normal signed-in use of the account. Logging in again reactivates the account.
Deactivation does not permanently delete your account, Stories, profile, memberships, Library information, or other account data.
If you own a Crew, you must transfer Crew ownership to another eligible member before deactivating your account.
If you want your account permanently deleted, you must contact the Encore team. Permanent deletion is separate from deactivation and may require review of published content, shared archive records, Crew relationships, and other collaborative activity.

You retain ownership of the Stories, images, and other original content that you create and publish through Encore.
By publishing content on Encore, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating, presenting, maintaining, and improving the platform.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to publish the content you submit.
Connecting your Story to an Artist, Event, or Crew does not transfer ownership of your Story to that Artist, Event, Crew, or another member. Stories remain connected to their original Writers according to Encore's authorship and permission rules.
If content is permanently removed from Encore, the licence granted for that removed content ends except where limited retention is reasonably necessary for backups, security, legal obligations, or other purposes permitted by law.
If your account is permanently deleted, some previously published content may require review because it forms part of shared Crew, Artist, Event, or community history. Where such content is legitimately retained, Encore may disassociate or anonymise the content and may continue to host and display it only to the extent reasonably necessary to preserve and operate that shared archive.
Encore maintains shared platform records such as canonical Artists and Events so that Stories from different Writers and Crews can contribute to the same live music archive.
Members may contribute information that helps create or connect these records, including Artist names, Event details, and relationships between Stories, Artists, and Events.
Creating or contributing to a shared Artist or Event record does not give the contributing member ownership or exclusive control over that record.
Encore may correct, consolidate, merge, reorganize, or otherwise maintain shared archive information where necessary to improve accuracy, remove duplicates, preserve relationships, or maintain the integrity of the platform.
Maintenance of a shared Artist or Event record does not by itself change ownership of any Story connected to that record.
When using Encore, you agree not to:
The Encore platform, branding, logos, software, and design are owned by Project Encore unless otherwise stated.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Encore's intellectual property to users.
Artist names, Event names, venue names, and other references to third parties remain subject to any rights held by their respective owners. Their appearance in Encore's archive does not imply ownership, endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with Project Encore.
We may take action against accounts, content, or activity that violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
Where appropriate, we may issue warnings before taking action, but we reserve the right to remove content, correct shared archive information, restrict features, or limit access immediately when necessary to protect the platform, its users, or the integrity of the archive.
Actions may include content moderation, correction or consolidation of shared Artist or Event records, feature restrictions, account suspension, or account termination.
Account suspension or termination by Encore is separate from a member's voluntary account deactivation or request for permanent deletion.
Suspension, termination, deactivation, or deletion of an account does not necessarily require the removal of shared Artist or Event records or other information that forms part of Encore's shared archive. Published user content will be handled in accordance with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, applicable law, and the rights of other contributors.
We aim to provide a reliable platform, but we cannot guarantee that Encore will always be available or free from errors.
Features may change, be improved, or be removed as Encore continues to develop.
During early releases, archive records, relationships, content, or other platform data may also be corrected, migrated, consolidated, or removed as the service evolves.
Encore is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the platform will meet every individual requirement.
Community-contributed Stories, Artist information, Event information, and other archive material may contain mistakes, incomplete information, or personal opinions. Encore may provide tools and maintenance processes to improve that information, but does not guarantee that every community-contributed record is complete or error-free.
These Terms may be updated as Encore evolves.
The latest version will always be published on this page and significant changes may also be communicated through the platform.
